About the Conference:

The two-day national conference, ELT: Issues and Challenges, attempts to take a comprehensive view of the major areas in ELT—Strategies of teaching (Methodology), Resources (materials in their varied forms including digital) , open and distance learning systems with the advent of technology, being open to receive honest feedback (assessment and evaluation) and finally interdisciplinary issues that influence ELT. The conference aims at bringing thinking minds from across the country together to share views with fellow scholars and researchers in the field.  The sessions will be in the form of plenary and parallel sessions, as well as poster presentations and panel discussions.  We propose to bring in eminent scholars in the field to speak at the plenary sessions as well as Chair the parallel sessions to guide presenters and upcoming scholars. The Keynote address would give a comprehensive idea on the contemporary status of ELT across the world that will include the sub themes of the conference. Each plenary session focuses on one of the sub-themes by experts in that area.
